Brazilian Northeastern Culture

      Hy guys, today I will talk a bit about the northeastern culture, because besides being my culture, it presents a wide range of cultural events which I really like.

It is important to note that culture is a complex web, which includes the knowledge, customs, arts, beliefs, religious cults, popular literature, dances and habits of a particular group.

      Thus, the culture of the Brazilian Northeast, the region formed by the states of Maranhao, Piaui, Ceara, Rio Grande do Norte, Paraiba, Pernambuco, Alagoas, Sergipe and Bahia, has developed its own habits in relation to the world and cultural events generation inherited to generation.
Some of the cultural events that stand out in northeastern Brazil are:

June festivals

      The June festivals, the main representative parties of the Northeast culture are celebrated in June. It's celebrated with dances like the quadrille and forró, pennants, balloons and fireworks. The foods of corn and coconut are typical of the era, including the hominy, the fritters, corn cake and Chikki prepared with manioc, roasted corn, baked corn, mulled wine etc.

Popular poetry

      The popular poetry is represented by the string literature, recited or published in brochures. This type of poetry relates the customs and beliefs of the people, in which the characters can be real or fictitious. Repentistas are the singers who disclose the popular poetry of the Northeast culture.

Handicraft

      The craftsmanship of the Northeast is quite diverse, with the production of decorative works and utilities, made of ceramic, wood, shells, lace, among other materials. The Art of income was brought by the Portuguese, where Lacemaker woman is a typical character of the Northeast culture.
